Sure Start Children's Centres

The Parliamentary Education Committee has just published a new report about Sure Start Children's Centres. Ofsted & Free Schools

Two days after you write a review of the year (see <a href="http://bcftcschildhoodeducation.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/review-of-2013.html" target="_blank">previous post</a>), two more important reports come out that should probably have made the cut [Sigh...]. <br /><br />Today sees the publication of Ofsted's annual report, which is split into several different sections. You can <a href="http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/annualreport1213" target="_blank">view them all here</a>, though the one of most interest to readers of this site is probably the <a href="http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/ofsted-annual-report-201213-schools" target="_blank">Schools Report</a>.<br /><br />Also new today is <i>Establishing Free Schools</i>, a report from the National Audit Office which is the first major assessment of the Free School programme to date. The <a href="http://www.nao.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/10314-001-Free-Schools-Book.pdf" target="_blank">full report</a> can be read online, and an <a href="http://www.nao.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/10314-001-Free-Schools-Book-Copy.pdf" target="_blank">executive summary</a> version is also available.
