Hot on the heels of the last issue of OnTheWeb comes the latest issue, which covers children and education-related research and reports which were published during November. As usual, there's a wide selection of documents to pick and choose from; here's a selection of highlights from the latest batch:

• A Save The Children report on Supporting Early Years Practitioners Working with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Families
• A DCSF Review of Section 58 of the Children Act 2004; this is the area of legislation which deals with the punishment of children, and is especially relevant to the smacking debate
• A report on Risk & Childhood which highlights some of the issues which are currently being discussed around the levels of risk and danger in children's lives
• A literature review which looks at training provision for teaching assistants (follow the links on the left of the page to download the report)
• The Joseph Rowntree Foundation, who seem to publish new evidence on child poverty like it's going out of fashion have released a new report entitled The Impact of Poverty on Young Children’s Experience of School
