Many readers of this blog already work in schools, or are planning a career in this sector once they have finished their course. So it should be of interest to all of those readers to learn that Ofsted is urging schools and nurseries to invest more in staff training. Ofsted's new report, entitled Good Professional Development in Schools, also explores issues such as training in areas outside of the core curriculum subjects, and whether such courses offer value for money.
