The latest government changes to childcare provision have been published today, with the announcement that children's centres will no longer have to offer full-time childcare. Other changes include the abolition of the Children's Workforce Development Council, with its powers transferring to the Department of Education, and the removal of the requirement for all Sure Start centres to hire both a qualified teacher and an Early Years Professional.
