A report from the School Library Commission draws a link between successful schools and well-run libraries, but argues that at present many such facilities are a wasted resource. To tackle this issue, the report calls for library staff to work more closely with teachers and other support staff, and for schools to designate a governor who is responsible for overseeing the development of library facilities.
